My videos are predominantly video shoots from live musical performances I've been lucky enough to attend. My musical tastes are diverse and, to many, somewhat obscure. But that's no reason not to take a look around!
1977 Baltimore Orioles - Thanks Brooks Day
On September 18, 1977, the Baltimore Orioles paid tribute to the finest third baseman to ever play the game. His name was Brooks Robinson and he will never be forgotten by those of us who watched him play.
This is an audio-only recording of that tribute - it was broadcast over the air on WBAL radio, and as far as I'm aware no video or film recording of the event exists. In any case, WBAL released an audio cassette of the event shortly afterwards, and this is the audio source of this video. Please excuse the numerous audio artifacts and defects - they are the result of poor cassette tape quality and nearly 40 years of storage in various hot Texas and Arizona attics.

The Swimming Pool Q's - Pull Back My Spring
who is the amazing woman?
Her name is Ansley Stewart. I believe she was a student of David's. She's great in Seven Days, too, which I shot at the same show: ua-cam.com/video/yDNtOTsGHKg/v-deo.html
Thanks for posting this! Great memories! (Look at Jeff playing that Rick like it was a lead guitar or something...lol..love it)
Put the 1985 live show back up. These newer shows stink. No energy.
That isn't my video to put up. I'm sorry you're disappointed that the Q's didn't a miraculous anti aging formula at their disposal.
Having grown up near I-95 pretty much my whole life, it's a bit bizarre to hear what sounds very much like a Beatles song about the interstate
Oh wow. I love them. This song is so great.
I love this song so much. It brings me home and I miss it so bad. I happened upon these guys one of the first times I snuck into a bar in the early 80's and they helped change my life. I get goose bumps when I listen to this. And a little teary eyed. Thank you!
Okay 11 years and no comments. Someone has to say something.....Michele I dedicate this song to you...... Thank you cracker😂
This is a badass song. Love it!
Someday I'll get it right too
The Barney DVDs. These lyrics stick in my head for years. Randomly entering my mind during quiet moments. Such talented guys The mix on this is bad though
I guess I'm in the minority
Life is full of hits and misses. Thanks for stopping by.
Jumbo Like.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I'm an old man (out of college in 1973). Didn't think there was any good music after 1999. Then discovered FOW. One of the best bands of my lifetime.
Well I'll ride this motorway For a thousand miles a day Till the road runs out of blacktop Or I will this world away And each town is steeped in rain And I know each one by name Cause this road is wrapped around me And I wear it like a chain
Those people making noise need to be scourged!
Big tune off a great album 👍
Unreal energy in there
I was 19 & in college when I first discovered Nick Lowe. I heard Cruel to be Kind on the radio, looked it up & a few others, then gave up looking into him completely. A month later I was leaving a store, getting in my car, & right as the radio turned on the DJ announced it was NL's birthday that day (I remembered the name) & proceeded to play 2 songs in a row: Tokeyo Bay & Travelin' Light. I wasn't that impressed with the first but was taken by the latter! I knew it was a cover; & it might've been the best of that song I'd heard so far! I couldn't forget it & looked up this video to hear it again that day. This led me down the NL catalogue & I was thoroughly amazed at what I was finding. By chance I'd bought a guitar around that time, & where it had been slow before, I now had a ton of NL songs I was passionate about playing, & I got the hang of it quickly. This all happened last year, & NL has become one of my favorite artists. I'm still amazed, & when he comes back to the USA I'm set on going to one of his shows. Anyway, that's how I discovered Nick Lowe. Had I not heard this on the radio that day I woulda never got the boot to check him out!
What a fantastic song. This band should have hit much, much bigger.
…Jeff….🥺
One of the most beautiful songs ever written -;0)
Is this a lower key than the album?
just an amazing treasure trove of wonderful songs
Such a freakin’ gorgeous tune. Really miss the brilliant Adam Schlesinger.
Died too early...and its a sad song! I used to drive i95
I saw them in 1998. There were 13 people at the show. Their set was amazing.what a medley!
She kinda fuvked that up
I never saw the Beatles (3 out of 4) but I did see the Fountains of Wayne.
I believe that Skyfull of Holes was the only FoW record released by Yep Roc.
Welcome Interstate Managers and Traffic and Weather were on S-curve IIRC.
Description Edit - Eponymous Debut is 1996
Chuck, would you happen to have a setlist for Fountains of Wayne set on 10/12/2012? Thanks!
I do not, Paul. I'd have to go back to my old raw files if I can find them.
Love this song! That #Strat tone .... 🔥
Thanks for the upload. It's incredible. ♥
You're very welcome. I'm very happy you enjoyed it!
Amazing song. Amazing songwriter. Amazing band.
I scored a super clean original vinyl album of this today.
Brilliant yeah
Sheer joy. I absolutely love this song.
Anyone have the lyrics to this?
ONe of my favorite songs of theirs and they do it great justice!
Cool song.

Never fortunate enough to see him ( or Guadalcanal Diary) in concert, love to see the concert footage !! Such an amazing talent (singer songwriter) !!!!!
Awesome cheers Chuck
Thanks so much, Esteban! I'm so glad you enjoyed this recording.
